erstes Mal im neuen Pilgrim, Obersee bei Bolligen, 23.04.11:

Unterwegs mit Georg, von Schmerikon aus; noch laesst der Halt im Boot zu wuenschen.

For the first time in my (brandnew) Pilgrim, in the part named „Obersee“ of the Zuerich-Lake, on a slightly chilly day at the end of april.

Das Ziel waere, laengerfristig in diesem Boot richtig gut paddeln zu koennen – das wird eine echte Herausforderung. Zunaechst einmal stellen sich Fragen technischer Art: welche Einbauten waeren hilfreich, wie kann man diese konstruieren – und wer kann sie ausfuehren? Selbst bin ich leider nicht dazu imstande … Wenn diese Arbeiten mal erledigt sind, kommt die naechste Herausforderung: moeglichst oft Paddeln gehen! Ob ich es schaffe, das Boot selber ins Wasser zu hieven?

The boat is still lacking most of the adaptations I need (for comfort, security and performance). A lot of questions to be solved – what kind of adaptations, and who will do the work, where may I store the kayak, how can I manage to go on the water on my own?? Big challenges …
