Bodensee II – paddlers with handicap

Last weekend: Bodensee again, this time with a groupo of mostly handicapped paddlers from Germany. Our base was at Allensbach on a small camping site, where we had small rooms. On saturday we went round Reichenau (an island in the Untersee). Lunch at the camping site “Sandseele”.

On sunday, the plan was to paddle from Oehningen to Schaffhausen on the river Rhine. At nine o’clock we started from the camping site in order to carry the kayaks with the trailer to the point of departure. Then we had to move some of the cars to Schaffhausen, in order to get the people (and boats) back to the camping site. During all these maneuvers the weather was rainy and cold. When we finally got on the water at half past twelve – the sun emerged from the clouds …

We had lunch at Gailingen (on the other riverside, opposite to Diessenhofen) at the “Rheinpark”.
